Dr. Bailes to Teach HVAC Workshop at Virginia Conference

Energy Vanguard's president, Dr. Allison Bailes, will teach a three-hour workshop called What You Need to Know About HVAC to Work with HVAC Pros at the Mid-Atlantic Sustainability Conference in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Aimed at architects, engineers, builders, raters, and students, the session will cover:

  • Principles of heating and air conditioning
  • Ventilation rates and methods
  • Forced air distribution systems
  • Integrated design

The conference will run 4-6 September, and Dr. Bailes's workshop will be on Friday, 5 September. Other featured speakers at the conference include Sam Rashkin, chief architect in the Building Technologies Program at the U.S. Department of Energy, and Paul Bogard, author of The End of Night: Searching for Natural Darkness in an Age of Artificial Light. At $275 for professionals and only $50 for students, the registration fee is very reasonable.
