Allison Bailes, Energy Vanguard's founder and president, has accepted an invitation to join the program committee for Affordable Comfort's national conference. The committee reviews proposals for presentations, develops new sessions, and helps with planning the overall content of the conference to ensure that attendees get the most out of it.
Allison Bailes, founder and president of Energy Vanguard, received notice this past week that he has been appointed to RESNET's Quality Assurance Committee. RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network) is the non-profit organization that oversees the Home Energy Rating System (HERS), accrediting training and rating providers as well as developing and maintaining the standards for the industry. The QA committee is responsible for maintaining quality throughout the HERS rating process, from certifying raters to completing ratings.

A room full of builders, contractors, developers, and designers recently participated in a workshop on ENERGY STAR Version 3 for homes. Sponsored by E3 Innovate of Nashville and presented by Allison Bailes of Energy Vanguard, the class covered the basics of the program, with an emphasis on how the newly revised program differs from Version 2.

Energy Vanguard's president and founder, Dr. Allison Bailes, will be giving an update on his RESNET presentation about the energy efficient mortgage (EEM) and energy improvement mortgage (EIM) at the Southeast Building Conference and Green Building Show in Orlando, Florida this summer. In March 2010, two of EVER's home energy raters qualified homes for the ENERGY STAR New Homes program. These are the first two ENERGY STAR homes to qualify through Energy Vanguard Energy Ratings.
