Energy Vanguard Energy Ratings Receives HERS Provider Accreditation
RESNET has accredited Energy Vanguard Energy Ratings (EVER), a division of Energy Vanguard, LLC, as a Home Energy Rating Provider (aka HERS Provider). All certified home energy raters must have an agreement with a HERS Provider, who provides them with:
RESNET has accredited Energy Vanguard Energy Ratings (EVER), a division of Energy Vanguard, LLC, as a Home Energy Rating Provider (aka HERS Provider). All certified home energy raters must have an agreement with a HERS Provider, who provides them with:
- Access to accredited HERS rating software
- Further training after their initial class
- Quality assurance of their home energy rating work
EVER is now accepting applications from anyone who has taken a home energy rating class in the past year and is looking for a HERS provider. Currently certified home energy raters looking for a new HERS provider are also welcome to apply.
“Now that the federal government is showing so much interest in energy efficiency and demand for green homes is growing rapidly among the general public, this industry is set to really take off. We’ve had to add several new classes already this year for the home energy rater course that I teach,” said Allison Bailes, president of Energy Vanguard.
